I understand this completely and admit that achieving a hip combination between dress and cardigan is tricky for several reasons. These guidelines might help as you shop your closet.
When in doubt about how to achieve the right combination of dress and cardigan, try one of two things:. Here are some guidelines for pairing the style of the dress with the silhouette of the cardigan.
These are not rules, but they are a good place to start.

I had a doubt recently when paired a black cascading cardi with my zara leopard dress because the dress hem is above the knee and the cardigan had a two tips that were longer then the hem of the dress.

Athletic shoes are best worn for the appropriate athletic activity. So if you’re going for a run, then by all means, wear specialized running shoes, but if you’re just driving to the grocery store, athletic shoes aren’t the best choice.
While neither type of shoe is good to pair with formalwear, only one is really appropriate for everyday use. The other type should only be worn for specific activities.
One of these types of shoes is the perfect thing to wear with casual, everyday clothes. The other type, while also informal, has much more specific uses.
To select shoes to wear with an outfit, try wearing a bright, colorful pair of shoes if your outfit is simple or neutral.
Or, if you’re wearing an outfit with a lot of colors, match your shoes to one of the colors to tie everything together. In general, avoid wearing shoes that match your outfit exactly, unless you’re going for a monochrome look, like an all-black ensemble.
